The Arena of Madness (aka Colosseum) is the place that warriors of all levels come to fight against impossible odds, but for those who survived long enough, they'll be awarded astounding riches.
- If the player is dead, the Arena keeper will resurrect the player and gives the player a prize based on the number of kills.
- A minimum of 10 kills is required to gain an item.
- Each wave monsters get stronger.
- If the player has 100+ kills (~20 waves), the prize will be guaranteed legendary. The closer the player is to 100 kills, once over 80, there is a chance of obtaining a legendary item.
- Casual Mode recommended!
- Healing skills like Dark Harvest (Necromancer) or Adrenaline Rush (Barbarian) work well in the Arena.
Tip: Sometimes it'll spawn a Green cyclops that spawns some smaller goblins once every few seconds. Those goblins don't count as "kills". And sometimes it spawns an Ooze that spawns smaller oozes when it dies. Those small Oozes don't count either. Also, the next round will start even when these mobs are not killed. Keep this in mind if you like to use the Rogue move Stealth in this mode (Paired well with the Ninja's Blade Rush)
There is a Glitch in Crazy Mode that occurs when you attack the Colosseum Keeper. Upon attack, it will trigger the code that makes him come to your aid when you die, but instead of teleporting he copies himself and both realize that they should be attacking you, so you must kill both of them. Once you do, you must then exit to the map to save the game. When you try to enter the Colosseum again, the game will crash. REMEMBER: If you die, the game will crash. If you go into the battle area, it will also crash when you die. The glitch is funny because sometimes his corpse will talk, and he is VERY powerful and challenging to fight.
RECAP: Kill the two colosseum keepers, exit map, you will get locked out of the arena.
Tip: In the later waves, kill the Green Cyclopses first, then the healers. If it is too hard to fight, kill the healers (Monsters and people with a staff). They make the game so much harder.
Exploits: There is a way to be rewarded infinite times. As mentioned above, there is a Glitch in Crazy Mode that occurs when you attack the Colosseum Keeper. However, this glitch can be manipulated to award you infinite accessories, weapons, and armour without crashing your game or getting you locked out of the arena. This exploit works in 1.5.3. Check game version before proceeding.
The following procedures should be followed:
- Before you enter the arena, turn on "Crazy Mode".
- After you entered the arena, do not attack the Colosseum Keeper, go inside and start killing mosters.
- Stop and get killed. Reward is based on the number of kills you achieved, so make sure you are farming the reward you want (e.g. if you want guaranteed legendary items, get killed at 100+ kills or around wave 19).
- Now, the Colosseum Keeper will appear and revive you. When he asked if you wanted to do it one more time or leave, choose the leave option "I have to run".
- Then, the Colosseum Keeper will return to the entrance, notice that there is only one Colosseum Keeper at this time.
- Now, instead of leaving the arena, click on the Colosseum Keeper and attack him once to raise his aggro and let him kill you. You will see two Colosseum Keeper attacking you at the same time, one at the entrance, the other in the arena. IMPORTANT: Do not kill any of them, let them kill you.
- After you are killed, the Colosseum Keeper in the arena will revive you and reward you once again, just like you were rewarded moment ago. He will also ask you if you wanted to do it again or leave, choose the leave option "I have to run". Get killed once again, and repeat.
- The original Colosseum Keeper will kep attacking you, and the duplicate will keep reviving you and giving you rewards, so it can be repeated indefinitely. Notice that the time for you to claim your reward before getting killed once again is short, so be sure to click fast. Once you get familiar, it shouldn't be a problem.
- When you decide to leave, you need to quickly end the conversation and choose to leave, then control your character and dodge the attacks from the Colosseum Keeper. The Keeper attacks periodically, and there is enough space at the entrance to lure his attack and make a dodge. Or, you can use other abilities that can assist you in this scenario (e.g. Emtpy Body that gives you 100% dodge chance for 4s).
- Leave the arena, turn off "Crazy Mode" if you didn't want to cause chaos somewhere else.
- REMEMBER, do not kill either of the Colosseum Keeper at any time.
By using this exploit repeatedly, you are able to farm infinite top tier gears and sell them for an infinite amount of gold. Also, your game will not crash, nor will you be locked out of the arena.
